Withrow Receives GR-R-EAT Donation Supporting Middle School Sports

Middle school students at Withrow University High School received a GR-R-REAT boost to their athletics programs at the Kroger Wellness Festival thanks to Kellog's Frosted Flakes' Mission Tiger and Tony the Tiger!

On Saturday, September 25, students, teachers and administrators at Withrow were presented with a $25,000 donation via DonorsChoose to support their middle school sports program!

Board Member Mary Wineberg, Superintendent and CEO Iranetta Rayborn Wright and Withrow Principal Jerron Gray, along with students and staff, received a $25,000 donation to support Withrow's middle school sports program at Kroger's Wellness Festival.

"We are dedicated to giving our students the tools they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom," said Jerron Gray, principal of Withrow University High School. "Students who are physically active tend to have better grades, school attendance and cognitive performance. We are grateful to Mission Tiger and Kroger for being present in our community and helping us strengthen our school's middle school sports programs, which will enable our students to thrive."

Kellogg's Frosted Flakes Mission Tiger's donation to Withrow will help keep Withrow Tigers active and provide them with equipment needed to stay in the game, including tennis rackets, badminton gear, volleyballs and more!

Thank you Kroger, Mission Tiger and Kellog's Frosted Flakes for being present for CPS students!
