Hughes High School Zoo School: Transforming the Education Landscape

The Cincinnati Zoo Academy is revolutionizing the education landscape by offering a unique and innovative learning experience that combines traditional classroom instruction with hands-on, real-world applications. 

Appearing on the "Learning Unboxed" podcast, Chris Edelen, Career Tech Teacher at Hughes STEM High School, along with other Zoo Academy staff members, discussed the educational transformation that the Zoo Academy has with students. 

For the past 15 years, this groundbreaking approach equips Hughes STEM High School students with invaluable skills and knowledge while fostering a deep appreciation for wildlife conservation and the environment.

Students enrolled in the program, actively engage in animal care, habitat preservation, and environmental research, thanks to experts over at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
