Students who are eager to begin their firefighting careers need to look no further. The City of Cincinnati has officially opened its paid 2023 Summer Fire Cadet Program.
The goal of the Summer Cadet Program is to provide opportunities for students ages 14-18 interested in firefighter work who are not old enough to become Fire Recruits, enabling them to continue their education and encouraging them to participate in the Fire Recruit examination.
Selected participants will be paid and are expected to work 24 - 30 hours per week. To qualify, students must submit two recommendation letters with their application.
