Western and Southern Yop-5 Nominees Announced
From the more than 80 nominees, a selection committee from CPS and Western & Southern selected five finalists. The winner will be announced May 9 at a special recognition ceremony.
CPS' Hosts First Mammogram Party
CPS is hosting its first-ever mammogram party at Washington Park, Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Join in for an energetic and fun-filled day of resources and activities for the whole family, including Zumba, kid's activities, prizes and, most importantly, breast cancer screenings and information.

Walnut Hills Robotics Team Competes at World Championship
The Nuts won their first match at the competition in Houston, Texas. The back-to-back State Champions have put in more than 20 hours a week since August to perfect their craft.
CPS Students Win at Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival
The University of Idaho Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival is one of the largest educational jazz festivals in the world, featuring over 400 student performances.
CPS won in four categories and took runner-up in three.
Cheviot Students Host Food Drive for Ramadan
Students at Cheviot School got in the spirit of Ramadan by hosting a food drive for those in need. Students collected over 150 cans of food to donate to the Clifton Mosque.
Campaign Raises Money for 17,000 Books for Parker Woods
Parker Woods raised nearly $25,000 through Book Blast – a new enrichment program from Books Are Fun to help grow students’ home libraries with popular, new books. The campaign resulted in 17,000 books.
Reds Player Hunter Greene Visits Student Athletes
Greene visited the school ahead of Major League Baseball’s annual Jackie Robinson Day, sharing about Robinson’s influence on his personal and professional life, and promoting a message of inclusivity.
The Promise Center Receives Sweet Donation from Local Nonprofit
Students at The Promise Center got a sweet surprise from local nonprofit Payton’s Lemonade Stand. The nonprofit donated 200 backpacks filled with school supplies, hygiene products and toys.
