Budget Update - April 2024

Due to changes in funding formulas and ESSER coming to an end, CPS outlined a $99.7 million budget gap for the 2024-25 school year. From November 2023 through January 2024, CPS engaged community members, staff and union leaders to develop creative options to reduce the budget gap, and presented multiple recommendations to the Board. The Board has approved $64.9 million in reductions leaving a budget gap of $15.4 million. Click the link below to view the most recent presentation. Also, check out the budget tracker link at the bottom of each slide for details.

CPS will collaboratively reimagine our work and initiate new ideas. This strategy will enable Cincinnati to provide the best service for students, families and our community.
