Announcing a New SIS Platform!

CPS is excited to announce the new Student Information Services applications, Focus and Canvas! Thanks to the input from families and working groups composed of individuals from across the district, CPS will begin to build out the transition in Summer and Fall 2023. Beginning school year 2024-2025, Focus will fully combine PowerSchool, Ed Plan, Performance Matters and online school registration into one place and Canvas will replace Schoology.

Families will use the new SIS platform to apply for the 2024-2025 school year lottery beginning December 1, 2023 and staff will begin to use Focus for enrollment in January 2024. By July 2024 all of the new SIS systems will be live, including learning management, case management and student information. All staff will receive early access to Focus and Canvas for training purposes.

Please note that all staff will continue to use PowerSchool and Schoology for the 2023-2024 school year.
