Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education Votes for New President, VP and Committee Chairs for 2023

CPS Board of Education Re-Elects President, Elects New Vice President - Meeting Recap 1/9/2023

The Board of Education held three public meetings on Monday, January 9, 2023, including a Tax Budget Hearing, an Organizational Meeting and a Business Meeting.

During the Tax Budget Hearing, the Board discussed revisions to the tax budget for Fiscal Year 2023-24. The Board voted to approve the revisions.

The Organizational Meeting, held immediately following the Tax Meeting, was held to elect CPS’ Board President, Vice President and Committee members for 2023. During the meeting, President Ben Lindy was re-elected, while Vice President Jones handed VP duties to Brandon Craig with a ceremonial seat change.

  • Council of Great City Schools

After a three minute intermission, the Board moved into the Business Meeting at which time, the Board approved minutes from previous meetings, Superintendent Wright presented her finalized Leadership Team and recognized the Board for their service to CPS with certificates.
