Rothenberg Closure, Food Pick-up & Remote Learning Schedule - February 6-10, 2023

Good afternoon Rothenberg Families,

This is an important update about our school building and educational plan for the remainder of the week. The mechanical issues at our school building is a result of a malfunction of a water valve that significantly flooded the school. At this time, the extent of the damage is unknown, especially to our electrical and HVAC systems. All water must be pumped out of the building, building engineers then test all systems and city officials must inspect the building to allow it to safely reopen.

Rothenberg Preparatory Academy will operate on the below schedule to ensure students are fed and engaged in learning.

  • Tomorrow, Tuesday February 7:  No classes but families can pick up a 10-day food pack between 1 and 3 p.m. at the school. There will be no entry to the school, but our dining services team will be distributing the food packs at our main entrance.

  • Wednesday, February 8, there are no classes but families can pick up a 10-day food pack and student devices or materials from school between 1 and 3 p.m. Technical support will be onsite to answer questions and provide guidance.

  • Beginning Thursday, February 9, through Friday, February 10, Rothenberg will operate remotely on our normal bell schedule. If students were unable to pick up devices on Wednesday, they can pick up devices Thursday from 2-4 p.m.
