How You Can Help

  • Project Connect

Under the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, every school district in the nation is required to appoint a liaison to assist homeless families so their children's educations can continue. CPS' Project Connect, founded in 1996, serves as an information resource for homeless liaisons working in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren Counties.

For children and families experiencing homelessness, community support provides much-needed help with many projects and services. Giving a little goes a long way to help our families in need.

Here are some of the ways you can help Cincinnati-area homeless children:

    Community Volunteers

Volunteers play an important role in the academic and social success of homeless students by tutoring in the school-based programs and providing additional support during the summer program.

    School Supplies

Project Connect provides school supplies to children and youth experiencing homelessness in Butler, Clermont, Warren and Hamilton counties.

    Family Wish List

Project Connect provides services and "extras" to families experiencing homelessness in the Southwestern region of Ohio. These “extras” are something that every family deserves to have and have made a difference in many of their lives, such as: movie passes; tickets to sports events; long-distance phone cards and gift certificates from fast-food restaurants, Costco, Target/Walmart and grocery stores.
