Non-CPS Students (Live In District) Entering CPS High Schools

High School Application Period -

February 20 to March 3, 2017 (Round 1 - lottery)

Round 1 begins Feb. 20, 2017; continues until 11:59 p.m. March 3, 2017
(Round 2 is open April 3-14, 2017, and Round 3 is open May 1-12, 2017; Rounds 2 and 3 are only for parents/students who did not enter applications in Round 1.)

Non-CPS Students - In District: 

Students who live within CPS' district boundaries and who now do not attend Cincinnati Public Schools (attending private or charter schools, or are home-schooled) are welcome to apply to enter CPS' high schools. Applying during Round 1 is important because some high school programs fill up quickly.

Current 6th-, 7th- and 8th-graders - In District (attending private or charter schools or being home-schooled.)

  • Parents of non-CPS students now in grades 6, 7 and 8 who live within the CPS district and are interested in their children entering CPS high schools should come to the Customer Help Center at the CPS Education Center, 2651 Burnet Avenue, Corryville (45219) to submit online applications for the lottery.  A CPS-network computer must be used to file an online high school application for non-CPS students entering grades 7, 8 and 9.

Current 9th-, 10th- and 11th-graders - In District (attending private or charter schools or being home-schooled.)

  • Parents of non-CPS students in these upper grades who want their children to enter CPS high schools and who live within the CPD district should go to the high schools they select and submit paper applications. Upper grades are not part of the online high school application process.
