Google Workspace for Education
Google Workspace for Education is a web-based suite of programs provided by Google for schools to use.
All Google Workspace for Education services can be accessed from anywhere with an Internet connection (school, home, Smart Phone, etc.) This reduces the need for flash drives and home access to network drives.
Since Google Workspace for Education is all online, it is the same everywhere it is used, with no worries about having different versions of a program at home and at school.
Google Workspace for Education allows easy access to shared documents and files among teachers and students, so assignments can be turned in electronically and collaboration is easy on projects with co-workers and classmates.
Core Google Workspace for Education suite includes:
Gmail — Email storage and search tools help students find information fast and to instant message from inside their accounts.
Google Drive — Share documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Collaborate in real-time with teams or with whole schools.
Google Meet --- Teachers and students can collaborate over video conferencing when necessary. For the safety of students, they are unable to start Google Meets from their Google account.
Google Calendar — Teachers and students can organize schedules, and share events and calendars with others.
Google Sites — Websites for a teacher, school, team or department allow groups to work together to keep related documents, web content and other information in one place, on one site.
