Girls to Women

CPS’ Girls to Women Leadership Collaborative is designed to provide equitable access for female students to leadership development opportunities that will transform school cultures for the better.

Student Focus:

Girls to Women aims for young girls to become strong, respected and compassionate leaders and agents of change now and as adults, focusing on developing solutions along with their peers on issues they face being a female.

Students meet weekly for a minimum of two hours with their collaborative advisor to discuss topics such as entrepreneurship, self-confidence, women’s empowerment topics, college and career readiness and leadership development. Additionally, students attend annual leadership development conferences and collaborative related field trips.

The goal is to implement Girls to Women Leadership programs across the district, impacting girls in 3rd through 12th grades.
