Junior High/Middle Schools
CPS offers interscholastic competition for grades 7-8 in football, volleyball, cross country, boys' and girls' basketball, wrestling, baseball, and track and field. Annual city championship tournaments are held for basketball and track and field. Contact your child's school for information on the specific programs offered.

High Schools

CPS offers a wide variety of athletic programs at high schools for both boys and girls. Programs range from traditional sports such as football and baseball to the non-traditional sports such as fencing and bowling.
CPS schools belong to the Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference (CMAC), the Eastern Cincinnati Conference (ECC) and the Miami Valley Conference (MVC). Teams compete for both team and individual honors in league-sponsored interscholastic athletic competitions throughout the fall, winter and spring sports seasons.

Athletics Internship Program
Cincinnati Public Schools is seeking college students interested in intern positions to assist in daily operations within CPS' Athletic Department. College students who are passionate about sports business, marketing and high school athletics and want opportunities to build and expand skills in the sports-administration field may apply online at the link below.
