Hispanic Heritage Month

From September 15 to October 15, we honor the rich tapestry of Hispanic cultures that have woven their vibrant threads into the fabric of America. This month recognizes the contributions and achievements of Hispanic and Latino Americans throughout history.

Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15 because it marks the anniversary of independence for five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico's independence day follows on September 16, and Chile's on September 18.

Cincinnati Public Schools is excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in our schools, neighborhoods and across the city of Cincinnati. We are pleased to share resources for our families to use as an opportunity to explore information and activities with their children all year long.
