Support Services

Students and their families who speak languages other than English are welcomed to Cincinnati Public Schools.

When a non-English-speaking family enrolls in a Cincinnati public school, school staff schedules an appointment for the family and requests the services of an interpreter as needed. Enrollment may be done online via Focus, the new student information system, at schools or at our Customer Care Center (2651 Burnet Avenue, 45219). Focus is available in multiple languages. Physical enrolment packets are also available in multiple languages.

Services Provided by the Cincinnati Public School District

  • Food Services - All Cincinnati Public Schools have a cafeteria. Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all Cincinnati Public Schools students, except for students attending Hyde Park, Kilgour and Walnut Hills High School. Students may bring a lunch from home or buy lunch at school to eat in the school cafeteria.
  • Transportation - CPS offers school transportation services to eligible students who live within the boundaries of the CPS District and attend Cincinnati Public Schools, as well as students who live within the CPS district and attend charter and private (non-public) schools.
  • Health & Wellness - CPS encourages school children to eat healthier foods and to get more exercise.

Additional Support Services

There are many agencies that help with supplying school supplies, clothing for cold winter months and more.
