How To Get Involved with the District or Your Child’s School?

There are many spaces for multilingual parents to get involved and to activate their parent voice. You will find multiple opportunities within our district and at your students’ schools.

Here are a few examples of where your voice and presence are needed and welcomed.

To get more involved with your child’s school, contact an ELL Family Coordinator or inquire at your nearest Welcome Center.

You can also contact the District Parent Champion, Ms LaRonda Thomas by email or via her regular virtual office hours.

Appointments are 15 minutes and give you space to ask questions, discuss any concerns or how CPS can support your school's parent organization.

Parent Leadership Support Hours

Mondays and Wednesdays:

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Interpreter services are available.
