Reading Intervention Curriculum Adoption

The Curriculum & Instruction English Language Arts | Reading & Materials Departments have completed the piloting and evaluation phases of the Tier 2 Reading Intervention Programs by grade band. These high-quality materials meet the must-haves developed by our Reading Intervention Adoption Committee as well as the requirements outlined by Ohio Revised Code 3313.6028(B) Literacy Curriculum. 

The following “Must Haves” were developed to guide our final selection:

  • Contains elements of explicit instruction
  • Provides access for all students across the district and within buildings
  • Provides A clear scope and sequence that builds from easiest to most difficult skills
  • Selects programs that are financially sustainable year after year 
  • Can be easily implemented with training
  • Require little preparation with minimal materials

Below are lists to each of the programs currently being recommended. 

For each program, there is a link to provide feedback for our team to review as part of the adoption process. Your feedback is important to this process.
