Our programs are a catalyst for change, transforming under-served neighborhoods and empowering communities to create vibrant spaces that unite our city. In just the past 10 years we have educated 200,000+ children, planted 100,000+ trees and flowers, coordinated 120,000+ volunteers, and painted 1,000+ buildings. Perhaps our greatest impact is what people don’t see, like the eight million pounds of litter and 42,000+ tires collected, 7,000+ graffiti tags removed and dozens of illegal dumpsites shut down. These efforts create a better today and a brighter tomorrow for all who call Greater Cincinnati home.

The Mill Creek Alliance mission is to champion the resurgence of the Mill Creek Watershed as a natural and community asset. We envision the watershed as a healthy ecosystem where people and communities can thrive.

Environmental issues affect our health and our communities, as well as the sustainability of future generations and the earth itself. Environmental concerns directly affect the operations of all types of industries, including parks and forest services, transportation, chemical facilities, defense and energy, construction, and, of course, environmental services.

Graduates of the Environmental Engineering Technology program earn an Associate of Applied Science degree and are prepared to enter positions in a wide range of industries, environmental restoration sites, government agencies, laboratories, consulting firms, and conservation districts.

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is one of the oldest and best zoos in the nation. At its core lies an abundance of biodiversity, featuring over 400 species of animals and 3,000 plant species. It is also a world-renowned leader in the areas of endangered species reproduction, groundbreaking education collaboratives, and green practices.

The Civic Garden Center Education Internship is a great place to learn about working in the field of environmental education.  We work with energetic and passionate interns to teach children about the wonders of the natural world. The Civic Garden Center works with children of all ages to develop their sense of place and give them tools for resilience. This position focuses on supporting our youth education programs with additional opportunities to learn horticulture on our grounds through garden maintenance and partner collaboration.

Cincinnati Animal CARE meets the immediate needs of animals in our community through individualized care, life-saving solutions, and temporary shelter en route to a safe, compatible home!
