Application Process

Students who will be 11th graders during the 2026-2027 school year may apply to attend the Zoo Academy, located at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

The Zoo Academy process will open on Monday, February 9, 2026. 

Please consider the following:

• Ten districtwide seats are available
• Students who are randomly selected will be notified by April (waitlist for students not selected)
• All classes are held at the Cincinnati Zoo (Education Building) and students attend all day
• Metro bus passes provided unless the students lives within walking distance
• Students remain enrolled at their home school and follow graduation requirements
• Students may participate in home school experiences and graduate from their home school
