The Culinary and Food Services Program at Dater High School is a fast-paced, hands-on experience that prepares students for post-secondary culinary arts and beyond. Students learn basic and advanced skills, including safety and sanitation, knife skills and basic cooking methods, all while covering a variety of food products; stocks, sauces and soups; baking and pastries; and ethnic cuisines.

This program is ideal for students who:

  • Enjoy cooking
  • Enjoy dining in restaurants
  • Would like to work in a hotel, on a cruise ship or in a restaurant

  • Caterer
  • Catering and Banquet Manager

Salary: $22,000–$60,000
