Midwest Black Male Educator Summit
The Midwest Black Male Educator Summit, hosted by Cincinnati Public Schools, provided attendees a chance to hear from leading educators and speakers on the importance of Black male educators in classrooms and their impact on raising student achievement while serving the whole child.
From a kick-off Barbershop Talk Series to the reception and a summit full of great speakers and presenters, this event was a great opportunity for educators and administrators throughout the Midwest to discuss the importance of representation and work on solutions to recruit and retain more Black males to lead instruction in the classrooms from Pre-K through grade 12.
Key invitees included district leaders from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan, and urban school districts from around the nation, who are superintendents, chiefs of schools, assistant and deputy superintendents, curriculum leaders, teachers and administrators. All CPS employees were welcome to attend any of the events listed below.
