Phase 2: 2025-26
The second phase of CPS’ District Performance, Redesign, Sustainability and Growth plans for 2025-26 builds upon the first phase completed in 2024-25 school year, and aims to foster growth in the District, ensuring schools have healthy enrollment and are aligned to their neighborhoods. The District intends to optimize operations and learning environments, in consideration with the Board’s Ad Hoc committee report and directives, by establishing a junior high school and middle school model while incorporating three new north to south corridors for west, central and east designations. Phase two plans are currently under Board deliberation.
