Treasurer Michael Gustin

Michael Gustin is the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for Cincinnati Public Schools, appointed by the CPS Board of Education February 24, 2025. Since joining the district in 2014 as part of the financial technology team, Gustin has advanced through several leadership roles, most recently serving as Assistant Treasurer and Controller. Over his decade of service, Treasurer Gustin has worked to strengthen financial tools and resources that support district leadership and ensure responsible stewardship of public funds.

Mike earned his Ohio Treasurer’s license in 2023 and brings both technical expertise and a collaborative approach to his work. Before joining CPS, Treasurer Gustin held roles with Creative Microsystems, Inc. and the Butler County Auditor’s Office. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and history from Miami University and has completed professional development programs, including a Certificate in Education Finance from Georgetown University.
