Doing Business with CPS

The Purchasing Department oversees goods and services for Cincinnati Public Schools to ensure students receive quality products and excellent service that support their education and long-term success. It emphasizes supplier diversity, vendor stability, and compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, while using innovative procurement practices to provide timely, high-quality support for students, staff, and vendors.

In order to do business with CPS, vendors are required to have fully executed purchase orders prior to beginning work.

CPS Local Hire Initiative

The District shall make assertive, fiscally-responsible efforts to encourage local business enterprises. "Local" means with respect to an enterprise, that the enterprise has (A) a place of business is within the geographic boundaries of the District or (B) its place of business is within the Cincinnati Metropolitan Statistical Area or (C) more than 50% of its full-time employees are residing within the Cincinnati Metropolitan Statistical Area”.
