Creative Integration of Arts and Sciences Program Takes Center Stage at South Avondale School’s Back-to-School Event
Parents, students, teachers and faculty members gathered at South Avondale School for a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Aug. 9, 2017, celebrating the new specialized curriculum.
South Avondale School is one of nine schools launching a new specialized program this school year through Cincinnati Public Schools’ (CPS) Vision 2020: My Tomorrow program. South Avondale School’s Creative Integration of Arts and Sciences Program for grades K-6 provides authentic and dynamic learning experiences in the arts and sciences — teaching students to become creative problem-solvers.
“I’m extremely excited about our children being empowered to take the next step and ask questions that have yet to be asked,” says Principal Michael Allison about the new curriculum. “Our children will be life-long learners, excited about learning and — with support from the school, home and community — success will be achieved.”
