Supports for Students Offered During Summer 2017

July 1, 2017

The safety and well-being of our students is a top priority for Cincinnati Public Schools, and we continue to offer support and resources to students over the summer break.

Mental health partners with individual Cincinnati Public Schools are accessible during each school’s operating hours by contacting the school directly. CPS buildings are open through the end of June, are closed during July and will reopen August 1; for assistance in July, contact CPS' Customer Help Center, (513) 363-0123.

Sadly, youth suicide is an issue in communities across the nation, including Greater Cincinnati. The streaming Netflix Series 13 Reasons Why has prompted concerns among educators and mental-health professionals about the potential of teenagers “binge watching” the series without appropriate adult guidance and support.
