Cincinnati Public Schools has launched a new way to share how the district is preparing students for success throughout their lives. “Making Progress with Laura Mitchell” is a new podcast series in which host Clyde Gray and CPS Superintendent Laura Mitchell discuss strategic priorities, new initiatives and partnerships designed to strengthen the city’s public schools.
Episode 1 — Meet Laura
Mitchell and Gray discuss a wide range of topics, from Mitchell’s takeaways from her first 90 days as superintendent to strategic partnerships that will help develop the region’s future workforce and ultimately drive economic growth.
Episode 2 — Preparing Tomorrow's Workforce for Success
Mitchell and Gray discuss the important role that high schools play in developing the region's workforce, how CPS is helping students turn their passions into lucrative careers, and some of the partnerships the district has developed to ensure that students have access to the careers that will dominate our region in the coming years.
Episode 3 — Destination Cincinnati
Mitchell and Eric Kearney, President & CEO of the Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce, discuss "Destination Cincinnati," the regional effort to prepare students for the workforce. In addition, they give updates that will transform community learning centers across the district.
