Metro Update

We hope everyone has had a great start to the school year! We are continuing to actively monitor bus routes and make adjustments with Metro. Based on the feedback received from our principals, parents and students yesterday, we are taking these immediate steps:

  • Training more CPS staff as crossing guards.
  • Requesting assistance from the City to provide additional support with traffic control.
  • Following specific challenges yesterday at Western Hills and Walnut Hills, we have asked Metro to add more routes to serve those students.   

We know that some students had difficulty finding the correct bus routes yesterday. Therefore, we are asking that students stay on the bus and notify the Metro driver if they are concerned they are on the wrong route. The bus driver will then contact Metro dispatch for assistance.

Students who need real-time assistance identifying a route on the app can call Metro's Customer Service at (513) 621-4455.

Importantly, because of the adjustments being made, students should check the Metro app daily and be on the lookout for additional routes to and from school.
