Five reasons to be excited about the future of Cincinnati Public Schools. The superintendent wants to make sure students are either enrolled in college, enlisted in the military or employed at a job upon graduation, and the district has been building its programming to that end. Other key priorities include a focus on academic outcomes, employee experience and operational efficiency.
The Enquirer editorial board on Aug. 9 met with Laura Mitchell, superintendent of Cincinnati Public Schools. Mitchell is entering her second year as the district's top administrator and took time to discuss some successes from last school year and the work yet to be done.
