Eleventh-graders at eight CPS high schools will get a jump on success in future careers by meeting with prospective employers during the second Business-Education Connectivity Council - CPS Career Expo.
In contrast to the typical high school career day, the Expo is part of a comprehensive yearlong career-readiness program developed in partnership with the Business-Education Connectivity Council in conjunction with the Chamber’s Leadership Action program. Plans are in the works to expand to even more schools next year, with the eventual goal of taking the program to all schools to position students for success in postsecondary education and jobs, contributing to the regional economy. In CPS, the program is part of the district’s My Tomorrow initiative to ensure students are ready for the real world following graduation.
