Cincinnati (OH) – One week after the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT) ceased operations, Cincinnati Public Schools has seen an uptick in enrollment at its public Cincinnati Digital Academy and other neighborhood schools.
Over sixty students have enrolled in Cincinnati Public Schools since ECOT’s announced closure last Friday; half of those students have enrolled at Cincinnati Digital Academy, CPS’s free public online education option. ECOT students who reside within the Cincinnati Public School District have the right to enroll in their CPS neighborhood school or, if they choose, CPS’s Cincinnati Digital Academy.
“We’ve seen a tremendous response from the families who have attended our information sessions or have come in to the school,” said Eric Rozier, Principal of Cincinnati Digital Academy, CPS’s public online education option. “The Cincinnati Digital Academy is making this transition as easy as possible for parents of former ECOT students, and we welcome them to our educational community.”
In order to make a possible transition easy for ECOT parents, CPS created a Registration Gateway for online enrollment form submission. CPS also established a dedicated hotline to answer parents questions; parents can contact our Customer Help Center at 513-363-0570.
This past week, CPS held two ECOT Enrollment Orientation Sessions to assist parents and students with this transition. Information about forthcoming sessions is below.
