CPS Provides Free Meals During Summer Break

May 31, 2017

Cincinnati Public Schools is sponsoring the federally funded Summer Food Service Program for Children from May 30 to August 4, 2017, at schools, recreation centers and other locations around the district.

Free breakfast and lunch meals will be available Monday through Friday to children 18 years of age and under, or to anyone between the ages of 19 and 21 who is determined by a state or local public-educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled.

To receive a free meal, come to a serving site 15 minutes before the serving time; no preregistration needed. All meals must be eaten at the site. No meals will be distributed on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

The Summer Food Program is federally funded through the Department of Education. CPS sponsors the program in cooperation with the Cincinnati Recreation Commission and other community groups.
