Board of Education Strategic Engagement and Planning Committee
The Cincinnati Public Schools’ Board of Education has announced the creation of its Strategic Engagement and Planning Committee.
Through deep and authentic community engagement, District involvement, and stakeholder participation, the Strategic Planning and Engagement Committee is charged with developing a strategic plan for Cincinnati Public Schools (“CPS”) by the start of the 2019-20 school year. The strategic plan shall promote CPS’ commitment to equity and excellence.
The Board will appoint five community members to this committee to seek input from and generate awareness of the Board’s strategic planning work throughout the CPS community.
Interested parties will be appointed by the Board to serve through the start of the 2019-20 school year – which is the deadline for SPEC to complete its work of developing a strategic plan. The Committee will be meeting monthly, and some work may need to occur outside the regularly scheduled meetings.
Interested applicants should submit an application, resume, and a cover letter explaining why they’re interested in participating in the Board’s committee. Application materials should be sent to the Board Office no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, July 6. Individuals with questions should contact Phyllis Davis.
