Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education approved a resolution to select Alma Advisory Group of Chicago, Illinois, to assist with the search for the District's next superintendent.
Nine firms submitted responses to the Request for Proposal issued July 28, 2021. After an initial review, board representatives met with five organizations. Following discussion at the board meeting this evening, it was determined that Alma Advisory Group had the most compatible vision, commitment to equity and robust process to assist the board in managing a national superintendent search.
The process will include robust stakeholder engagement, recruitment utilizing Alma's strong network and experience with urban districts, and a transparent interview and selection process.
Board Vice President Ryan Messer said, "We are excited to partner with Alma Advisory Group on what is one of the most critical functions a board of education can undertake, the selection of its chief executive. We look forward to gathering community input and launching a national search to ensure the best possible field of candidates from which to select the next CPS superintendent on behalf of our students, families, community and employees."
