Metro Bus (public transportation) issues Smart Card passes to Cincinnti Public Schools' students that allows students to ride Metro buses free to and from school.
These Smart Cards do not need to be swiped; instead, they are tapped on the target area of the bus' fare box.
Eligible students receive Smart Card passes annually on the first day of school. Passes for new or transferring students will be issued on a weekly basis in the school's office.
It is the students' responsibility to keep the Smart Card passes in good condition. Do not fold, punch, laminate or change this card in any way. It contains a tiny antenna, and, if it is damaged, it will not work.
If a student needs a replacement pass, contact Metro at email@example.com to order a replacement.
- New enrollees will automatically get a new pass once enrolled in PowerSchool.
- Parents must contact their student's school of attendance for Replacement passes.
Replacement requests received by noon Monday through Friday will be available for pick up the following business day. Requests received after noon Monday through Friday will be available for pick up in two business days.
Pick up the replacement cards at the Metro Sales Office, 120 E. Fourth Street, downtown (across from Government Square), Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The fee to replace a lost or stolen card is $10. This fee is non-refundable. The lost card is voided and no longer will be valid on any Metro bus. For replacement of a damaged card, the fee is waived if the original card is presented.
