MyPlate was created by the USDA to remind Americans to eat healthfully. This current design replaces MyPyramid, or the Food Guide Pyramid, and is used as part of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
MyPlate focuses especially on three areas:
Balancing Calories — Enjoy your food, but eat less. Avoid oversized portions.
Foods to Increase —Make half your plate fruits and vegetables. Make at least half your grains whole grains. Switch to fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk.
Foods to Reduce — Choose foods that contain less sodium. Drink water instead of sugary drinks.

No Time to Pack It? Blend It!
You don't have to pack it all. Try packing a sandwich or wrap, and purchasing the rest at school. All CPS menu items are offered a la carte daily.
