Partnering with CPS to Strengthen our Region’s Economy
My Tomorrow is all about career-readiness: Preparing students for the careers of today and getting them ready to take ownership of the careers of tomorrow. To further this critical mission, CPS has partnered with the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Action Team to create the Business Advisory Council (formerly the Business-Education Connectivity Council (BECC).
Through the Career and Workforce Readiness Program, the Business Advisory Council aims to open the door for Greater Cincinnati youth to see post-high school employment opportunities that maximize their potential and meet our region’s workforce needs of the future. The BAC is accomplishing this by connecting business volunteers with CPS students to help students recognize potential career options and develop real-world, career-based skills. These interactions will help students see the career opportunities that exist and the skills that they will need to fill these positions.
During the school year, the BAC organizes a number of targeted events to help CPS students build the critical skills they will need to find long-term success in the market. Learn more about those opportunities — and how you can contribute.
