Sunday Scoop - May 2026

Sunday Scoop - May 2026

Hello,

May is a time of both celebration and focus across Cincinnati Public Schools. As the school year comes to a close, students are continuing to build on the progress they have made, while also preparing to celebrate important milestones.

We extend our congratulations to the Class of 2026 and to all students for their hard work, growth and accomplishments throughout the year. From classroom achievements to performances, projects and extracurricular success, there is much to be proud of across CPS.

This season also brings a number of meaningful end-of-year events — including concerts, showcases, promotions and graduations — that highlight the talent, dedication and spirit of CPS students. These moments reflect the collective effort of students, families, educators, staff and partners.

Even as celebrations begin, every school day continues to matter. Strong attendance and engagement remain key to ensuring students finish the year confident, prepared and ready for what comes next.

Thank you to our families, educators and community partners for your continued support and partnership. Together, we are ensuring every student is supported, encouraged and positioned for success as we close out the school year.

Sincerely,
Shauna Murphy
Superintendent
