Sunday Scoop - June 2026

Sunday Scoop - June 2026

Hello,

As we close another remarkable school year across Cincinnati Public Schools, I want to simply say thank you.

Thank you to our students, staff, families and community partners for making this year one filled with growth, achievement and connection. From academic success and creative expression to athletic accomplishments and personal milestones, we have seen our students learn, grow and prepare for bright futures.

Being Here for Kids continues to guide everything we do, and your support and partnership make that possible each day.

As summer begins, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge and enjoy time with loved ones. This summer, we also look forward to launching a new strategic plan that will help shape the future vision of Cincinnati Public Schools, strengthening our focus on academics, student support, college and career readiness and opportunities for every child to succeed.

When we return in the fall, we will continue preparing for an extraordinary milestone in our district’s history — the Bicentennial Celebration of Cincinnati Public Schools in 2029. As we honor nearly 200 years of excellence, we also look ahead with pride, purpose and optimism for the future.

Thank you again for your dedication, support and belief in our students. Have a safe, restful and joyful summer break.

Sincerely,
Shauna Murphy
Superintendent
