Sunday Scoop - February 2026

Sunday Scoop - February 2026

Hello,

As we move into February, a month centered on connection, I want to thank our students, families and staff for a strong start to the year. At CPS, attendance is how those connections begin. When students come to school each day, they build relationships, strengthen confidence and experience a true sense of belonging.

February is also Black History Month, a time to honor the achievements and lasting contributions of Black leaders and changemakers. We are proud to recognize this important month and hope you will join us in special celebrations across our District.

As we move through winter, we’re hopeful February brings a little warmer weather and brighter days ahead. Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we continue the school year together.

Warmly,
Shauna Murphy
Superintendent
