CPS Launches New On-the-Spot Enrollment for 2026–27 School Year

Cincinnati Public Schools is making enrollment faster, simpler and more supportive for families this summer through its summer enrollment period, now through Friday, September 4, as the district prepares for the 2026–27 school year.

This year, CPS is introducing on-the-spot enrollment, a streamlined option that allows families who visit the CPS Education Center with required documents to complete the process and leave fully enrolled the same day. The expanded effort is designed to reduce barriers, shorten wait times and provide more hands-on support for families navigating school registration.

CPS is prepared to meet higher enrollment volume this summer while ensuring families receive personalized assistance.

K-12 Enrollment 

When: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-12 p.m., 1-3 p.m.
*Enrollment not available Thursday, June 18-Friday, June 19 and Friday, July 3

Where: CPS Education Center - 2651 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45219

*Multilingual families may also enroll at a CPS Welcome Center at Roberts Academy, Hartwell Middle School, Withrow University High School, Academy of World Languages (AWL) and Dater High School. Welcome Centers are open for enrollment in June and August. Hours vary by location. Please visit the school website or contact the school to verify hours.  

What: Enroll for the 2026-27 school year, get help creating your Focus account, accessing student ID information and uploading required documents.

To enroll, families must bring:

• A parent or legal guardian photo ID
• Child’s birth certificate
• Proof of residency (see acceptable documents by clicking here)

Families are also encouraged to bring transcripts and immunization records. Translation services are available.

In addition to in-person support, families may also complete the registration process online.

Preschool Enrollment 

Preschool families may begin the registration process online and then schedule an appointment at one of our convenient preschool enrollment hubs. For appointments, please call our Early Childhood Education team at 513-363-0123 option #5.

When: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Walk-ins accepted from 8 a.m.-2p.m.
