CPS Community Proudly Marches in 2024 Pride Parade

Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) participated in the 2024 Pride Parade, demonstrating unity and support for the LGBTQIA+ community, and a dedication to inclusivity and diversity. 

Teachers, students, parents, staff and Board members marched through Cincinnati streets, dressed in colorful attire and waving rainbow flags. Their presence highlighted the District's commitment to fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

More than 20 people walked with CPS in the parade, including Board Vice President Mary Wineberg, Board Member Dr. Kareem Moffett and Board Member Brandon Craig.

"Every child should feel supported to be their authentic self. I'm proud that CPS teachers, staff and Board members celebrated pride with Cincinnati on Saturday. Pride is more than a parade; it's a culture. At CPS, we celebrate pride every day," Board Member Craig said.

Spectators lined the parade route, cheering and showing appreciation for CPS' involvement.

CPS is committed to anti-bullying and nondiscrimination, outlined in Board Policy 5517.01: Prohibition On Harassment, Intimidation And Bullying and Board Policy 2260: Nondiscrimination and Access to Equal Educational Opportunity.
