Community Cleanup Transforms South Avondale School
More than 400 volunteers rolled up their sleeves to support South Avondale School, hosting an impactful community cleanup day with Keep Cincinnati Beautiful and Altafiber.
The “Day in the Community” initiative aims to revitalize both the school campus and the surrounding neighborhood.
Organizers and volunteers expressed excitement about the initiative's potential impact on the Avondale community. South Avondale School Principal April Simmons echoed their enthusiasm.
“This is my fourth year being here, and it keeps getting better and better,” Principal Simmons said. “It gives our students and staff an amazing environment, and it gives us something to be proud of and take care of.”
Volunteers engaged in various projects, including building a stage, creating a mural and enhancing the campus through planting and beautification efforts.
