Cincinnati Public Schools Hosts 'Cincy Experience' Job Fair to Recruit Top Talent
Ohio’s second-largest school district is looking for the next generation of impact-making educators.
Cincinnati Public Schools, or CPS, is hosting the CPS-Cincy Experience, a prospective educator event designed to showcase opportunities within the district. The weekend highlight is the Cincy Experience Job Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 8 at Woodward High School in Bond Hill.
Interested candidates can also tour select CPS schools the day before the job fair, gaining firsthand insight into the district’s culture, classrooms and community. Registration is required for the tour, but it is optional for the job fair.
During Saturday’s job fair, attendees can access networking opportunities and informational sessions to explore career paths within CPS.
Job seekers attending the career fair can explore openings for teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, maintenance staff, bus drivers and food service workers. CPS mainly focuses on attracting bilingual educators, STEM teachers, career and technical professionals looking to share their expertise and special education professionals to meet the district’s evolving needs.
“Our students deserve the best educators and staff to support them, and we are committed to building a team that reflects the excellence we strive for every day,” said Julia Indalecio, Senior Director of Human Resources and Talent at Cincinnati Public Schools. “The CPS-Cincy Experience is more than just a hiring event—it’s an opportunity for job seekers to understand our mission and find their perfect fit.”
As an added incentive, candidates can win prizes by getting a “passport” stamped. Completed passports can be redeemed for entry into a drawing for classroom-related prizes. This will allow participants to get to know the Cincinnati region while also learning about CPS.
“CPS is a lot more than many realize. With a district this large, the opportunities are wide-ranging,” Indalecio said. “I think someone who does not have a close-up view of the district will be surprised by what we have to offer and look forward to meeting everyone who comes.”
