Cincinnati Bengals Bring Energy, Excitement and Inspiration to John P. Parker School

Cincinnati Bengals Bring Energy, Excitement and Inspiration to John P. Parker School

Students at John P. Parker School kicked off their week in unforgettable fashion as members of the Cincinnati Bengals organization — including players, cheerleaders and mascot Who Dey — visited the school for a morning of fun, teamwork and physical activity.

The visit was part of the Bengals’ ongoing commitment to youth engagement and community partnership across Cincinnati. Upon arrival, students’ excitement was undeniable as players introduced themselves and encouraged students to bring their best effort, positive attitudes and teamwork.

Throughout the morning, all 4th, 5th and 6th grade students had the chance to rotate through a series of interactive flag football stations led by Bengals staff and players. Each station focused on core skills and fundamentals, from route running and offense versus defense drills to hand-eye coordination and teamwork-based games. The format allowed students to learn, move and stay engaged — all while experiencing the NFL environment in their own gym.

After completing each station, students put their new skills to the test during spirited 5-on-5 scrimmages. Bengals players jumped in to coach and cheer students on, creating moments that many will remember long after the final whistle.

The morning concluded with group photos and a lot of smiles, high-fives and well-earned bragging rights.

In addition to the hands-on experience, the Bengals left behind a Flag-In-Schools kit and Future Fans resources to help teachers continue bringing the game to students throughout the year. This equipment allows John P. Parker to extend the excitement beyond a single event and support ongoing physical activity and healthy habits.

“This experience meant so much to our students,” said Brent Langhorne, District Elementary Athletics Coordinator for Cincinnati Public Schools. “Seeing professional athletes and Bengals staff take time to invest in our kids was powerful — not just for growth in athletics, but for confidence, motivation, and school pride.”

Cincinnati Public Schools extends a sincere thank-you to the Bengals organization for their time, energy, and commitment to supporting young learners. The partnership reflects the power of community, opportunity and shared investment in the future of Cincinnati’s youth.
