Become a Reading Tutor and Help a CPS Student Grow

Become a Reading Tutor and Help a CPS Student Grow

One hour a week can make a meaningful difference for a young reader. Cincinnati Public Schools is looking for volunteers to serve as reading tutors for third-grade students beginning in October.

Tutors will spend one hour each week working with a student to strengthen reading skills, build confidence and develop a positive connection around learning. No teaching experience is required. CPS provides free training, practical tools and ongoing support to help volunteers feel prepared.

Reading tutors are needed at:

  • Academy of Multilingual Immersion Studies

  • Bond Hill Academy

  • College Hill Academy

  • Frederick Douglass

  • Mt. Airy School

  • Roberts Academy

  • Roselawn Condon

  • Westwood School
