Erasing the Digital Divide
Whether students plan on going to college or the workplace after high school, they need to know how to use technology: how to use basic programs, how to be good digital citizens and how to keep themselves safe online.
With the introduction of EasyTech in grades K-8, CPS will ensure that no students are left behind in the world of technology. Even if our students don’t have ready access to a home computer or a computer lab, they will build the skills they need to succeed in high school, college and the workplace.
EasyTech is a program that uses online lessons and games to teach such skills as keyboarding, word processing and online safety. As our students progress through each grade level, they will build on their skills from the prior year, learning how to use spreadsheets and databases, create presentations, write basic HTML, communicate online, and more.
Our goal is for students to graduate ready to pursue the careers of their choice, and EasyTech is one more way we are helping students build the skills they will need for success.
