New Programming Expands to Nine addtional CPS Neighborhood Schools in 2017-2018
With the opening of the 2016-2017 school year, seven Cincinnati Public Schools neighborhood schools began new strengthened programming as part of CPS' commitment to increase equity, access and opportunity for all students to attend great schools. Vision 2020 will expand to nine addtional neighborhood schools in the 2017-2018 school year.
These schools receive specialized curriculum tailored to the character and priorities of the neighborhoods where the schools are located.
The initiative is part of a multiyear commitment to strengthen quality school options through the district’s Vision 2020: My Tomorrow comprehensive plan.

Vision 2020: My Tomorrow builds upon CPS’ groundbreaking My Tomorrow initiative to prepare students with the real-world knowledge and skills needed to be successful in college and in the workforce.
Strengthening the district’s neighborhood schools emerged as the top-ranked item for improvement strategies in CPS' Priorities Survey conducted last fall.
