In 2018-19, New Programming Opens in Six CPS Neighborhood Schools
Vision 2020 — My Tomorrow
The Vision 2020: My Tomorrow initiative adds new programing at six additional neighborhood schools in the 2018-19 school year, as part of Cincinnati Public Schools' commitment to increase equity, access and opportunities for all students to attend great schools.
Neighborhood schools began new strengthened programming in 2016-17, with seven CPS neighborhood schools launching new programs. Vision 2020 expanded to nine additional neighborhood schools in 2017-18. These enhanced neighborhood schools receive specialized curriculum tailored to the character and priorities of the schools' communities.
The Vision 2020: My Tomorrow initiative is part of a multiyear commitment to strengthen quality school options throughout the district. It builds upon CPS’ groundbreaking My Tomorrow initiative to prepare students with the real-world knowledge and skills needed to be successful in college and in the workforce.
Strengthening the district’s neighborhood schools emerged as the top-ranked item for improvement strategies in a recent CPS Priorities Survey.
