Goals and Strategies

Our Goals are bold resolutions of what we will accomplish together; they are the guide for our staff, resources and energies to achieve the strategic plan over the next three years.

Strategic Plan Implementation

Cincinnati Public Schools is committed to informing and engaging our students, staff, families and community partners in the implementation of the district’s three-year strategic plan: A Roadmap to Destination Cincinnati Public Schools.

CPS has created the position of Chief Strategy Officer, and the district’s Chief Information Officer Sarah Trimble-Oliver recently was promoted to the role.

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, Trimble-Oliver updated the Board on the implementation and evaluation of the strategic plan. 

CPS is focused on the strategic implementation of the strategic plan through alignment; mindset; and capability. The district has an Organizational Alignment Team that meets regularly to facilitate implementation.

As part of the implementation, the district will release a quarterly scorecard that shows the progress toward each of the strategic outcomes outlined in the strategic plan. The first quarterly scorecard will be released at the end of October 2019.
