Board of Education Strategic Engagement and Planning Committee
In 2018, the Cincinnati Public Schools' Board of Education created the Strategic Engagement and Planning Committee (StEP) to create a three-year strategic plan to develop the growth and future investment in Cincinnati Public Schools.
Through deep and authentic community engagement, District involvement and stakeholder participation, the Strategic Engagement and Planning Committee will develop a strategic plan for CPS by the start of the 2019-20 school year. The strategic plan shall promote CPS' commitment to equity and excellence.
More than 30 community leaders and partners have participated in months of meetings to prepare a SWOT analysis and provide strategic input to the Board and Administration. As part of its strategic analysis, the Board has identified key priority areas for the strategic plan:
- Better Systems
- Community Engagement
- Safety and Security
- and Student-Centered Decision Making
Our strategic planning consultants Engage2Learn presented a report to the Board of Education at the Board’s meeting on Monday, May 20, 2019.
